Unbelievable

A couple of days ago I started feeling the baby move! It was such an amazing feeling. Nothing compares to it - I can't wait until Nick can feel it too! I really enjoy being pregnant and I love every moment I get to spend with this little one moving inside of me.

3 More Weeks

We went to another baby appoinment yesterday and they told me I have to wait three more weeks to find out the gender. To me, three weeks feels like an eternity!! I am starting to feel a little frantic. How will I be ready for a baby in 4 1/2 months? Have I read enough, prayed enough, bought enough, painted enough.....? I am suddenly feeling very overwhelmed!! Why would the Lord trust me with one of his precious sons/daughters? Have Nick and I done all we could do to make our home one where this soul can dwell and thrive? In the midst of all these feelings, there are moments of calmness and surety. It comes each time we pray, each time I see that little baby moving all around The sacred role of parenthood is upon us and we are ready. Maybe we won't know everything, maybe we will spend money on things we don't need or not buy enough. But we have definetly prayed and prayed. We prayed for this child long before we ever "met" him/her. I know that Heavenly Father has been preparing us for longer than we realize.

American Idol Live

Tuesday night Nick and I went to the American Idol concert and it was AWESOME! Yes, we were surrounded by 10 year old girls and yes, we did scream like ten year old girls!! I am so glad we went - it was such a fun concert and they were all so amazing live! Some of the highlights....

1)David A.'s entrance onto the stage. He came up from below the stage sitting at the piano, playing "Angels". So awesome!!

2)The ten minutes it took before we could hear David A. sing because of all his fans(see video below). I loved seeing that he had so many supporters - he is so freaking cute. David A.'s whole set was amazing - his voice was even better in person. He does not disappoint!

3)Carly Smithson's opening number "Bring Me to Life" by Evanesence. I wasn't really a fan of hers during the show, but she performed this song fabulously!

4)Brooke White didn't indulge in any long-winded speeches. Don't get me wrong, I like her a lot. She is very talented by she tended to talk endlessly and I feared she would see the stage as a platform to do so again.

5)Michael John's whole set was killer! He also didn't thrill me during the show but he is an amazing performer - LOVE HIM!

6)David Cook wearing a pink shirt that said "BAD" on it. Since I am talking about him, I have to say he really got on my nerves at the concert. He fluctuated between a super rocker dude and being a completely bored, frustrated artist. When he was being rocker dude, he delivered. Billy Jean was phenominal.

Amyway, it was money well spent. We had a great time being kids again and I can't wait to watch these guys continue their careers. Here's a few pics!

Riding the ol' metro

Carly rockedDavid A. - LOVE HIM

This is David A.'s entrance. He's even better live!

I finally finished...

....Breaking Dawn. For me, it was pretty anti-climatic - that's all I am going to say - I know some of my friends are still reading.

There's never enough time........

Unfortunately, time does not stop for me! How am I ever going to finish this book with life just going on as usual. There's work and dinner and laundry......OH MY!!!!! I find myself watching the clock tick tock along so that I can run to my car and get home so I CAN READ MY BOOK. All day long I am thinking about Edward and Bella and what they are doing in the pages of this long awaited book! It's only 11:27am - I have got many hours to go............

Proud Wife

I posted earlier about how hard Nick has been working. Well, we are starting to see the payoff! Two days ago we found out that Nick was accepted to Fairfield University's nurse anestesia program. Nick has worked so hard and I couldn't be more proud. I love him so much and know that he is always thinking about his family and our future. Fairfield isn't his top pick, but at least he knows that he will be going somewhere. I am such a lucky girl to have such a talented husband. Congratulations babe!
