Countdown to Freedom

Thursday marks a very exciting milestone in my recent life - I am FREE!! Brady will be 6 weeks old and, by pediatricians standards, free to roam this world without the risk of death. They really do make you feel like that - I am not kidding!!! I am not trying to sound ungrateful. I have a beautiful child and this time with him at home has been really wonderful. But intermixed in this time have been moments where I felt a little, let's be honest, a LOT stir crazy!! Also, Thursday is when my brothers, sister in law, niece and nephews get here for Brady's upcoming blessing this Sunday. I always love seeing my family but am VERY excited to introduce them to Brady. I am very fortunate to be able to have them come and am so grateful for the sacrifices they are making to share in this really special day. Anyway, here are some new pics of Brady. He is 2 days shy of 6 weeks old now. He weighs about 7 pounds and is 20 inches long. He's growing, slowly, but surely! Thanks for letting me indulge for a moment!!

I totally understand what you mean. I did feel from everyone's comments if we stepped outside all of a sudden he would become deathly ill. Well, we did stay in most the time and I have a healthy baby, so I guess I should be happy. :)

He really is a cute little guy, and I'm glad he can make his debut to the world now. Come over anytime! Well, after Elijah and I get over our colds, which will hopefully be soon.

I just can't get enough of his hair! He is so cute. I still can't figure out whether he looks like you or Nick...I am SO bad at that stuff. Can't wait to meet the little guy...hopefully in June!

It's worth it - there's too many germs out there and you won't want to risk anything - BTW he is just beautiful!

man, he's cute. Too bad I'm stuck in UTAH with the RSV clan and not there with my husband and firstborn to enjoy little Brady and all the rest of you peeps. Cry a tear for me when you play scrabble or watch a freaky movie...I'm crying some lonely ones here. Thanks for the pics. At least I'll recognize him when I do finally meet him when he's 40 or something.

He's so adorable. I'm jealous he has so much hair! It was good to see you both last week!

He's so perfect. I love just staring at the amazing picture at the top of your blog. Hooray for being able to leave the house again. I can only imagine how hard that would be. I can't even stay home for a day.

Good for you! Yep with Katelyn I minded...not so much with Sarah. I went back to church with Sarah when she was 2 weeks old (I kept her tight in the wrap) but I couldn't be couped up anymore. Follow your inciteful instincts and it usually works out in the end because there is always someone out there that well, has a big mouth.

Amanda,
Thank you for posting pictures so we could see them! Brodey, especially, loved seeing pictures of his cousin! I think he really misses Brady. Some of those pictures you took could easily win a big fat prize in a magazine or something. You'd win first place! He's soooo cute! We miss you guys...can't wait to see you this summer!
