You bet I did!
There I was, anxiously waiting. Palms a little sweaty. Butterflies in my stomach. 10:30 pm - okay, only an hour and a half to go - I can do this! Then, before I know it - it starts. This moon comes across the screen and teenage girls (and a couple of late 20 to early thirty year olds :-) ) start screaming! NEW MOON IS HERE BABY! And I was there at the premiere! And it was AWESOME!!!
It's Finally HERE!!!!
Dawn's Early Light is my mom's third book and newest installment of the Free Men and Dreamers series and it's here and ready for readin'!! These books are GREAT reads - you don't have to be a history buff to get sucked into the riveting action surrounding our nation at that time. If you want to check them out, you can click on her blinkie add over to the side, click on the link to her website, also on the side, or follow this link. If you want to buy them as gifts, I can get you signed copies - I happen to be pretty close to the author!!!
Brady's First Haircut

So, I finally decided it was time to cut those lovely locks.
Step 3: Make your first heartbreaking cut
Check!
Surprisingly, still no tears!
Step 4: Clean up around ear - EEK.
This is where we start to lose him a little!
Enter the Lollipop!!!
You need to do the other ear - NO PROBLEM! Just give me that lollipop!
"Are we done yet?"
Those big stains on the cape that look like water are actually Brady's lollipop drool so I took it away! Now he just looks annoyed.

Halloween
Being that is was our first Halloween with our little pumpkin, we wanted it to be GREAT!!! Nick and I know Brady won't remember these attempts to make it great 10 years from now but we want him to look back and see that traditions were started before he could even walk and that they were and are very important to us as a family. So this year we picked out a monkey costume out for Brady early in October and had to build our costumes around that theme.
My initial idea was to have Nick dress up as a banana and me dress up as a tree. I tried and tried to make this work but it seemed it was not meant to be. At the last second, literally hours before our party, I changed our costumes to Tarzan and Jane. Thanks to my mom, I was able to throw it together without much work. My mom and I spent most of Halloween day working on her press packets and then at 4pm decided we should start getting the Halloween stuff together. At the party, there was going to be a prize for the scariest trunk so we went all out and we won! It was truly amazing - I will have to check and see if my mom got any pictures of it!! Anyway, the party was so fun. We played Halloween bingo and had a trunk or treat. We also took Brady into our friends haunted forest - he was a little scared!! Mostly, it is fun to relive these amazing childhood experiences with your kids.
