We moved....and still living out of boxes!!
We moved last weekend to our new home for two years! Moving is such a hassle, but thanks to two great wards, we were out in no time. We want to thank all those who helped us - it really meant a lot to us. Thanks for the meals and for your friendships! We will miss the Eldersburg Ward SO MUCH!!!! We made such good friends there and want to see more of you! We are not that far away!
We are still living out of boxes. I find myself coming home everyday from work completely overwhelmed with it all. I need to get motivated!! We have the essentials put together - it's the decorating that is so hard for me - where should this go, what wall should we hang this, blah, Blah, BLAH!!! I know it will come together! But thanks again to our dear friends!! We will miss seeing you every Sunday!

Some Pics from Utah
I never put up any pictures from Utah. I haven't gotten the ones from the reunion yet but here are some from the couple of days spent with my family. Aside from playing Cranium, we love bowling. So here are a few shots from Family Fun Night at the bowling lanes.
Action shot of Nick - he ended up getting 4 strikes that game!
My brother, Adam. He's available!!!!
My little nephew, Tommy. What an awesome little guy!
My niece, Keira, and I at the bowling lanes
He was pretty pleased with his game!

A Great Birthday Weekend
Being married has several pluses, one being that birthdays seem to go on forever. You get to celebrate with your spouse, then with your family and then with their family. I turned 28 on Saturday - yes 28!!! How did this happen? When did I get so old?!!?! The number was shocking but this was, by far, the best birthday in a long time. My life has never felt so full and satisfying. Growing older doesn't seem so bad knowing what is coming down the road in my life. So, Friday, my co-workers made such a fuss over me. They bought lunch, got me a card, made a cake. It was so awesome - a great way to kick off my birthday! Nick is always great about making my birthday a big deal. I slept in and then we got McDonald's breakfast which is a rare treat that I LOVE so much! Then I got to go get a manicure which is so relaxing and fun. Although, the manicurist next to my station was talking about how her husband abuses her which was really awkward and sad. Other than that, wonderful experience. Then I came home and went back to bed - so glorious. That night we had tickets to a play called Into the Woods that I have loved for a long time but haven't been able to find it anywhere. Theatre on the Hill in Westminster picked it up this year and I was so excited to be able to go! It was so fun to go and connect to my inner drama queen for a night!!! Before the play, we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and it was so yummy! I had never actually had their cheesecake so Nick and I topped off our delicious meal with a piece of Tuxedo Cheesecake. It was fabulous!!! It was such a great day - I got to do everything I wanted too! Then on Sunday, my mom had us over and we got to do it all again. I love being so close to our families so we can share these moments together. My mom made a great dinner and then for my cake, she made angel food cake with berries - so good! So here's to another year! Getting old ain't so bad after all!

Not to be forgotten!
I was reading over my blog and realized that I haven't written too much about what Nick has been up to these days! As I use this as an addition to my journal, I want to document all that he has been doing these days. On top of working full time at Hopkins, he is preparing to apply to nurse anesthetist programs for entrance in 2009. He is taking an online Bio Chemistry class and simultaneously studying for the CCRN Exam(Critical Care Registered Nurse) which is very important to have if you want to do anestesia. Not to mention he has to fill out applications, write essays and take care of his sometimes whiny pregnant wife! It is incredible how hard he works and how much he takes on to ensure a wonderful future for us. I not only love him but I respect him so much for planning ahead and doing ALL that is required of him to make him the best candidate for this masters program. It's so great to have a partner, a real companion that works so hard our family. I will need to re-read this in about a month when it's closer to the tests and he locks himself in the office!!! :-)

Edited
I finally got my sonogram to scan and put it under "Not Even an Inch". You may not think it's much to look at but to me it's a glorious thing!

I am Snow White
You Are Snow White!

Pure and trusting. You are a gentle soul who can get along with just about anyone. Everyone you meet instantly falls in love with you. How can they resist? You have a pure, lovable nature that's irresistable. Just don't trust everyone who comes across your path.
Which Disney Princess Are You?
Back From Vacation
Nick and I just got back from our 10 day vacation. We headed out west to attend his families family reunion and we also got to spend time with my brothers as well. It was such a fun and rewarding trip. We started out with my family in Riverton, UT where my older brother lives with his wife and two kids. Krista, my sister in law, is expecting a baby in September so it was really nice to talk to her about pregnancy and babies in general. My brother Josh also flew in from LA so we could all be together. This is the first time we have been together since Thankgiving so it was a really nice treat. We went to a fabulous restuarant called Tucano's - oh my gosh - it's so good. The people just walk around with meat and keep offering you bits of the best grilled meat ever. They also had this grilled pineapple that was AMAZING!! I can't wait to go back to UT just for that! I love my family and was so happy to be able to spend some time with all of them. On Sunday afternoon, Nick's cousins picked us up and we headed up to Bear Lake for the reunion. I was so excited to head to the reunion because I still hadn't meant all of Nick's family. His mom is one of eight siblings and there are tons of grandkids and our baby will make 6 great grandkids for his grandparents. The other reason I was so excited was because Utah State is my alma mater and you have to drive through it to get to Bear Lake. I have such fond memories of college and was happy to be back in a place where there are so many good memories. I got to show Nick where I lived and went to school. Very exciting stuff!! The whole reunion was fabulous. Nick's mom's side of the family was all there -I mean everyone except one aunt and two cousins. There were about 60 of us in this HUGE cabin and because of the close quarters, we really got to spend quality time together. The neatest part was every night, his grandparents would gather the whole family for scripture reading and prayer. It was beautiful to see what just two people had created - a wonderful, loving family who are strong in their faith. I couldn't help but think that one day that could be Nick and I. I just loved the whole experience from playing games to good talks. We both came back refreshed, missing all the people we love. As soon as I get my act together, I will post a few pics!
