Halloween

Being that is was our first Halloween with our little pumpkin, we wanted it to be GREAT!!! Nick and I know Brady won't remember these attempts to make it great 10 years from now but we want him to look back and see that traditions were started before he could even walk and that they were and are very important to us as a family. So this year we picked out a monkey costume out for Brady early in October and had to build our costumes around that theme. My initial idea was to have Nick dress up as a banana and me dress up as a tree. I tried and tried to make this work but it seemed it was not meant to be. At the last second, literally hours before our party, I changed our costumes to Tarzan and Jane. Thanks to my mom, I was able to throw it together without much work. My mom and I spent most of Halloween day working on her press packets and then at 4pm decided we should start getting the Halloween stuff together. At the party, there was going to be a prize for the scariest trunk so we went all out and we won! It was truly amazing - I will have to check and see if my mom got any pictures of it!! Anyway, the party was so fun. We played Halloween bingo and had a trunk or treat. We also took Brady into our friends haunted forest - he was a little scared!! Mostly, it is fun to relive these amazing childhood experiences with your kids.
