Over and Over again...

I am standing backstage.....I am dressed in costume. Makeup and hair are done and air is filled with nerves and excitement!!! All of a sudden, our teacher says "Five minutes to curtain" and I realize I haven't memorized any of my lines. Then I hear him yell, "PLACES!!" and I start to panic. My palms are sweaty and I am perspiring ALL OVER THE PLACE!! What am I going to do? Then I wake up! I have had this exact same dream ever since I graduated from high school. I have had it at least a couple times a month until recently. I am now having it a couple times a week. Baby Avery will be here in 8 1/2 weeks folks. Go ahead, ask me the normal questions.
  1. Have you bought your crib? NO
  2. Where are you registered? I haven't done that yet either!!
  3. What does her nursery look like? YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE!!!
  4. Are you getting excited? This is my least favorite question because there isn't anything I can say that will satisfy the asker except yes. And, unfortunately, I am a little too petrified/overwhelmed to feel excited yet. Ask me in 8 weeks!
Now, I know, Amanda, take a deep breath. Lots of women have done it before you, blah, blah, blah...... Lots of women aren't me though. This is the first time I have been pregnant with a second child while having a very strong-willed, yet sweet, 16 month old. And, yes, I know it will all be fine....... :-)

I totally understand how you're feeling. It's different the second time and yours are closer together than mine were. We should get together some time soon!

Oh my sweet friend. I totally understand. I'm not going to lie, it gets harder, but way better too. And when it is all over, and she is here, you will look back and laugh at all he anxiety, Because now all you will care about is sleep:):) I love you sweetie, and it will be ok. You are the best mom. Avery is so lucky to have you:)
